Research
Exploring measurement and optimisation methods of value within the context of cloud computing services

Background
An experienced Information Systems (IS) professional who has worked for global organisations representing systems integration (SI), information technology (IT) consulting, and business process outsourcing (BPO). Demonstrated success and proven ability in leading people and managing numerous functions consisting networking, solutions architecture, resource management, service operations, project management, and IT service management.
These substantial and balanced corporate and vendor experiences have been gained from various senior roles over 12 years in diverse vertical segments comprising telecommunication, semiconductor, automotive, banking, government agencies, utilities, financial, and manufacturing. Additionally, Roland has demonstrated global experiences, having undertaken projects, collaborations, and skills trainings in several countries.
Roland is strategically focused, passionate, and motivated. Besides further strengths in leadership, management, business development, and pre-sales, he has strong business acumen, commercial orientation, profit & loss (P&L) knowledge, alliance partnership, business liaison, and relationship building skills.
He obtained a master’s qualification in IS, with first-class honours, and pursuing a PhD, determining how to quantify the value of cloud computing services. Furthermore, Roland is a convenor of the cloud computing special interest group at the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
He is collaborating with both academics and IS practitioners who are passionate about IT governance frameworks, enterprise architecture, IT service management, and cloud computing.Professional Experiences
