Background

I have 20 years experience in the IT industry in Australia, most recently as an enterprise architect at Telstra from 2004 to July 2006. In this role, I contributed to the architecture of business support systems to meet the emerging strategic needs of Telstra's business models. A principal responsibility was an architectural solution to introduce new accounts receivable and credit management packages to be interoperable with legacy and next-generation billing systems. This included a fit evaluation of a SAP telecommunication-industry solution. I have been also employed on a contract-basis by EDS Australia, Accenture and the National Australia Bank.

At the University of Melbourne, I am the coordinator of the Organisational and Social Aspects of Information Systems (OASIS) research group, and a treasurer of the Information Systems Research Postgraduate Committee.
