Current affairs
Research
I am interested in how people interact through technology. I am in the Interaction Design Group at the University of Melbourne. For my PhD I am mediated communication within online virtual worlds. Previously I have supervised several Honours students, completed an MSc in cognitive science, and collaborated in some early research on online teaching. In 2008 I was a visiting researcher at PARC, California. I recently joined HORYZONS, a joint project between the Information Systems and Psychology departments funded by the Telematics Trust, which aims to develop an ICT-based psychosocial intervention for relapse prevention after first episodes of psychosis.
