I am an independent researcher residing in Singapore. In the recent past I have worked with the Interaction Design Group in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne and the Computing Department at Lancaster University. I mainly conduct ethnographic studies with a focus on use, technology issues and (possible) design.
I am interested in the use and design of everyday technologies and how they are placed in people's lives to support various forms of communication, the process of these technologies 'becoming mundane' and the new forms of awareness and interaction they sustain.
